Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!Neenah Foundry is proud to be one of the leading recyclers in the world by taking in a surplus of scrap metal from local junkyards and all the way up to international landfills. Even their own casting returns are placed directly back into the melting process. They even go as far as recovering and restoring the excess molding sand to be used over and over again. For years, they have been implementing many sustainable initiatives in order to keep the community clean. One of these safety measures includes replacing old emission control systems--devices that monitor and diminish harmful airborne byproducts that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. Noise control is also a major factor to the workplace safety; to help with this the Foundry constantly provides individual hearing protection, as well as installing sound absorbing barriers throughout the facilities.

Neenah Foundry TodayThe Neenah Foundry continues to be successful to this day, and their product range has expanded extensively from the more commonly known manhole covers. Some other products and services provided by Neenah Foundry facilities are casting, forging, and machining. The current owners of the Neenah Foundry encourage their consumers to “Buy American” in order to stimulate local communities, jobs, and support local families. Additionally, the Foundry provides their local employees with a complete benefit package which includes many opportunities for a stable, successful, and long-term occupation. Neenah Enterprises Inc (NEI) is currently a provider for the world’s leading manufacturing companies. With this great success comes great responsibility which is why the owners strive to deliver quality service and a safe work environment for NF employees. Their involvement with NEI, which maintains 5 manufacturing facilities across 3 states, allows the Foundry to employ 1,600 workers annually, 1,000 of which reside in Neenah! Products can be spotted across the globe throughout the 6 different continents that NF ships to. Employees use a plethora of skills to produce these incredibly crafted iron products: detectable warning plates, manhole covers, bollards, tree grates, industrial castings, and municipal castings. Working alongside of these employees are highly-technological robots which grant the workers extra time off to spend in the community and with their families.
